Situation

The situation is where you start. You learn by dealing with real-life work situations. Provide a short description of the situation for the learners to work on. Along the way, you will impact results.
Sitches are situations, jams, issues, errors, gaps, troubles, stoppages and many others to fix and solve. They are also opportunities to improve, grow, expand, and introduce better, faster and cheaper ways to get the desired results.
What is your Situation and Question?
Often, people at work are faced with unknown factors and unexpected situations such as customers’ changing demands, re-work procedures and disruptive technologies. But most of the training they receive only teach them standard skills and procedures. So what happens when they encounter deviations (errors, delays, wrong materials, wasteful processes, etc.) at work? How does one scale from his/her standard skills and roles to capabilities to think through the deviations and find new solutions?
What's the biggest challenge?
Most trainers and learning specialists believe that workers, when doing their work, should only follow what they were taught in training. We overlook the fact that workers encounter constant deviations while at work. How do we grow out of this thinking?
What's the objective?
For this exercise, identify two aspects of your business work that have standard procedures, processes, or practices. Discover what are the deviations (errors, delays, wasteful processes, etc.) from these standards. Then, “scale” your processes into thinking capacities by sharing solutions that deal with these deviations.
