One of your team leaders is complaining about this one "incompetent" subordinate. You are the manager. You have been asked to join a meeting with HR and Legal to resolve this problem. It seems like no one wants to deal with this controversial employee. How would you think through the problem?
What's the biggest challenge?
The employer hired the employee. Your team leader wants this person transferred because he causes delays and errors and clients are very unhappy.
What's the objective?
You want to deal with this person fairly and judiciously. He has caused so much disruptions.
